        An Enlightened Age begins with a peaceful theme.  This theme is used motivically and as a harmonic building block to maintain the mood in which the theme creates.  The piano nocturnes of Chopin inspired this piece.

This piece was premiered a CSULB Composers' Guild Concert and played by Jeanie Lee on October 20, 1993 at the Daniel Recital Hall in Long Beach, CA.

This piece was also performed on Eric D. Sharp’s composition recital and played by Mark Uranker on March 26, 1995 at the Daniel Recital Hall in Long Beach, CA.
